Head Doctor

Dr. Janice Bellemore B.Sc.OD

Dr. Janice Bellemore

Dr. Janice Bellemore grew up in rural Point-aux-Roches, Ontario, where she became fluent in French and learned to enjoy the simple things in life.

Dr. Bellemore attended St. Anne's High School in Tecumseh and enjoyed tennis, concert band, jazz band, piano and taught piano part time.

Dr. Bellemore graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry in 1990.

During her studies she completed an externship at The Vision Institute of Canada, in Toronto, Ontario.

In 1994, Dr. Bellemore opened Dr. Janice Bellemore and Associates, Complete Family Eye Care. Since that time, Dr. Bellemore has built the practice into a multi-doctor, full scope optometry practice seeing the eye care needs of Windsor and Essex County.

Continuing education is important to Dr. Bellemore. She strives on staying current with the latest technology and providing the most up-to-date information to her patients. Dr. Bellemore is certified in Advanced Ocular Diseases and Therapeutics for the treatment and co-management of eye diseases such as glaucoma.

Dr. Bellemore believes in preventative eye care and sees children as early as 6 months of age. She is very active in the community through Rotary and as the founder of Kids Health Day.

When asked why she became an optometrist, she remarked; "I really care about people. This profession allows me to really work with people, improve their lives and build long lasting relationships. In high school I was fascinated by science, chemistry and physics. During a two month stay in the hospital following my first back surgery, I realized I wanted to be a health care provider. I wanted to help people and make their lives better and easier. I wanted to be a caring family oriented doctor."

Dr. Bellemore respects and cares for all of her patients. She takes great pride and feels privileged to serve and provide vision and eye health care to her valued patients and looks forward to helping those she has not yet had the privilege to care for.

 

Dr. Jana Kadlec

Dr. Jana Kadlec O.D., BSc, BSVS

Dr. Kadlec grew up in Windsor and attended HJ Lassaline elementary and F. J. Brennan Highschool.  Dr. Kadlec graduated from University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science degree.  Dr. Kadlec went on to complete her studies at the Illinois College of Optometry, and graduated in 1997 with her Doctor of Optometry with therapeutic licensure and Bachelor of Science and Visual Science.  She also completed an externship at the Cleveland Veterans Hospital in Ohio.

Dr. Kadlec enjoys practicing in a family oriented optometric clinic and providing compassionate and complete eye care to children and adults

Dr. Kadlec is a mother of 3 and is active in the school and church community. Dr. Kadlec is fluent in the Slovak.

Dr. Kadlec is committed to excellence in vision and eye health care.  She takes great pleasure and feels privileged to serve the eyecare needs of the community.

 

Dr. Rhonda Thompson O.D, B.Sc

Dr. Rhonda Thompson

Dr. Rhonda E. Thompson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of  Art in Psychology. She attended the New England College of Optometry (NECO)  in Boston and completed clinical internships  at the Providence VA medical center in Rhode Island, Dimock Community health center in Boston, and Omni Eye Services in Atlanta. She served as the president for NECO’s chapter of the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), and was presented with the NOSA award in her final year.  She is qualified to practice optometry in both Canada and the United States.

Dr. Thompson obtained training in the diagnosis, treatment and management of many ocular diseases, and worked alongside a team of ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide pre and post operative surgery care to patients, while expanding her knowledge and skills in primary care optometry.

Dr. Thompson enjoys being an active member in her community and has been involved in vision screenings and educating the population on healthy visual and ocular habits. Her passion for optometry and her belief that everyone should have access to eye care has taken her to Lima, Peru and St. Thomas, Jamaica where she provided eye examinations to local residents.

Dr. Thompson is pleased to serve the community of Windsor and share her passion for patients as well as thorough eye exams, with a special interest in evaluating the effects of different diseases and conditions on the eyes.

In her leisure time she enjoys cooking, travelling, going to the gym, and practicing French and Spanish.
